Terms
Last updated 6 September 2026
SkateNav is currently a closed beta. Access is by approval or by an invite from an existing member, and can be withdrawn. Things will break, data may be lost, and features will change or disappear without notice.
Your account
- You need an account to take part, and one account per person.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- Invite links are yours to share with people you actually know. If a link is used for accounts that cause problems, we may switch it off.
- You must be old enough to hold an account under the law where you live. Children appear in SkateNav only as records managed by a parent, for booking lessons, and cannot sign in.
What you post
Spots, photos, reviews, ratings, sessions, events and comments stay yours. By posting them you allow us to show them in SkateNav to whoever your visibility setting permits. If you delete your account, contributions other skaters rely on — park photos, reviews and ratings — stay, attributed to “Deleted skater”.
Do not post anything that:
- is not yours to post, or infringes someone else’s rights;
- harasses, threatens or targets another person;
- identifies a spot you have been asked to keep quiet, or one it would be unsafe or unlawful to publish;
- is spam, or advertising dressed up as a spot or a session.
You can report anything in the app, and block anyone. We may remove content or suspend accounts, and during the beta we may do so without much ceremony.
Skating is your own risk
SkateNav tells you where parks are and who is going. It does not vouch for whether a spot is safe, open, legal to skate, or accurately described — most of that comes from other skaters. Sessions and events are organised by their hosts, not by us. Coaches listed for lessons are individuals who applied and were approved for the role; arrangements you make with them, including anything involving your children, are between you and them. Use your judgement, wear a helmet, and check for yourself.
Availability
There is no uptime promise during the beta. We may change, suspend or end the service, and we may end your access, at any time. To the extent the law allows, SkateNav is provided as-is and we are not liable for loss arising from using it.
Changes
These terms will change as the app leaves beta. Material changes will be announced in the app rather than quietly edited in.
